Realizing I have a unique and often complex sense of humor, I'm not sure this will strike others as funny as it did me, but I laughed so much when I heard this that I knew I had to write it down. We were at a party last Sunday (sorry for not blogging), and someone brought a Spam-equivalent to share with the group. It was so bizzare that I didn't know how to respond. What would you do if you went to someone's house and they served you this?
Libby's Potted Meat Food Product (because they have to tell you it's food)

Oh, and the best part about our much too crisscross world: You can buy Libby's Potted Meat Food Product from Amazon.com for $0.65.
i'm interested to know how this tastes. especially with chopped onions or salsa. and what audience they're aiming at... the unhealthy, low-income, taste-bud-deprived? even still, those folks eat at mcdonalds and not the potted meat section at amazon.
i would have to be really, really hungry to pull that pull-tab.
mmm...
Okay I didn't tell you this at the party but my family loves loves potted meat. Also my cousins love baby food meat which is basically the same thing but made with different ingredients.
oh yeah and my cousins aren't babies they are in their 30s
so it's edible, chandster?
i think i'd give it a try.
You need to get the kind with tripe. Much more classy.
Oh, I totally forgot about the tripe! I'm so uncultured.
Oh you generation of vipers! My mother made potted meat sandwiches all the time. My Dad loved them. She would mix it with mayo and then spread it on bread. Nothing added just good eating...NOT. My dad also liked bologna sandwiches. I stick to fat free ham! But I must admit I still think about a good SPAM sandwich with cucumbers. Yum-Yum! I almost bought some from WalMart the other day until I read the calorie content. End of the dream.
